Choosing Your Type of Coach

First, we need to choose the type of coach. You can choose from three different styles: Motivator, Recruiter, and Tactician. We decided to go with Recruiter because many of you are already excited about recruiting. Choosing the Recruiter will help give us an edge in recruiting new talent.

Setting Coaching Parameters and Signing Contracts

Next, we set our coach’s offensive and defensive aggressiveness parameters, each at 80, and then we signed our first coaching contract. The contract was for three years with a goal of winning eight games. These goals were based on the school’s track record and failure to meet the university’s expectations could result in dismissal.

Introduction to the Recruiting System

There is a lot of preparation that needs to be done before we get to the first game, including setting up the recruiting board, scouting recruits, creating a customized schedule, following the top stories, and improving coaching skills.

The new recruiting system is broken down into three phases:

  1. Setting up the recruiting board and scouting recruits: get the factors they look for when choosing a school by selecting actions.
  2. Selling recruits on the school: showcasing the school’s strengths and gaining verbal commitments from recruits.
  3. Secure Signing: try to secure the recruit’s commitment to the school prior to signing day.

Our current recruiting targets include 35 recruits, with the top target being Antoine Garrison, a five-star quarterback from Orange City, Fla. He is currently ranked second in the nation among quarterbacks and 12th overall. We have offered him a scholarship and have begun scouting his needs.

Recruiting Strategy and Focus on Targets

We did a thorough scouting of all quarterbacks and found several recruits to watch, such as Gideon, who has a 93 speed rating. We decided to make Gideon and Garrison our priority targets and invested a lot of time and resources into them.

In addition, we looked at a number of rookies at other positions such as defensive tackle and cornerback. At these positions, we have identified a number of prospects and have offered them scholarships. We believe that these rookies will be the backbone of our team going forward.

Pre-Season Preparation and First Game

Prior to the first game, we finished setting up our depth chart and red-shirt players and made some adjustments. We practiced several times with the players, especially the offensive and defensive matchups.

The first game was against Florida State and resulted in a 35-32 win. The game had highlights on both offense and defense, as well as some areas for improvement. Through this game, we gained a better understanding of the team and identified some plays that need to be adjusted.

Looking Ahead

In the coming season, we will continue to focus on recruiting and improving the team. At the same time, we will also adjust our tactics and lineups according to the game situation to strive for more victories.

Finally, thank you for your attention and support. If you are also working on a similar dynasty mode, please feel free to share your experience and suggestions. Hopefully we can make progress together in the process and build a strong college football team.
